Ear Candling is a gentle, non-invasive treatment of the ears based on an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations. Ancient Greeks used ear candles, probably for cleansing, purifying and healing. The therapy was also used by the Hopi Indians and Shamen healers.

The Ear Candling treatment works in several ways.

• The ear candles induce a mild, revitalising heat which soothes, relieves and relaxes.
• The candles contain essential oils which, when burning have a relaxing and calming effect on
the body
• The relaxing massage given after the ear treatment stimulates the blood and lymphatic systems and boosts the body’s own natural cleansing action.

It is suitable for the treatment of headaches and migraines and is a relaxing therapy which can help reduce stress.

Ear Candling can help with the following:

• Sinusitis • Rhinitis • Earwax • Earache • Irritation of the ears

The candle is a hollow tube made out of cotton flax, impregnated with extract of honey and herb oils. A filter inside the candle stops any candle residue falling down the candle and entering the ear. Following the candle therapy, a relaxing neck and face massage is given for a deep sense of calm.
