About The Calm Therapist

With a growing family and spare time ever more elusive I decided it was time to get off the merry go round of full-time work and do something more meaningful. I had wanted to explore holistic therapies for some years and reflexology was the one to which I was drawn. I had always found it to be a powerful treatment leaving me calm but energised at the same time. I decided I wanted to understand how reflexology worked and to help other people to experience how wonderful it is.

I now have a diploma endorsed by the Association of Reflexologists. As a member of the association I keep to its policies and procedures and also undertake continuing professional development to ensure that my skills are kept up to date. I am very much interested in the evidence-base of reflexology’s effectiveness – a small base but growing.

Alongside reflexology I also developed an interest in Indian head massage, which allows me to offer top and toe therapies. And my passion in this field continues with aromatherapy massage.

I have also always enjoyed ear-candling treatments so I thought it would be fun to help others to experience them too. When administered correctly ear candling can be a very relaxing treatment, especially if you combine it with a neck and face massage as I do.

Through my experience in my previous careers in nursing and midwifery I am well placed to understand the differing needs of clients depending on their conditions and I can alter treatments as necessary in the light of such needs.

I have a particular interest in women’s health from puberty through to the menopause and beyond.

I am passionate about holistic therapies and the benefits that they can give. I believe the therapies I offer can help to balance mind, body and spirit leaving you feeling relaxed and calm.

Sometimes a quiet hour dedicated to yourself with a calming therapy is all that you need. It might be time to treat yourself or a friend….

Treatments take place in a quiet, tranquil first floor room in a house on the hillslopes of Drayton, Portsmouth. Wheelchair users will have difficulty in accessing the treatment room, but a mobile service is on offer. In fact, if you prefer to receive treatments in your own home this can be arranged.

Please call Tracey direct on 07735 446421 or email info@thecalmtherapist.co.uk, to discuss your needs.
